The First Light way

Alec grew up in Cape Town. He knows the coastal roads, the walking paths and where to stop for lunch. Let him show you a few of his favourite places, with time to stay a while.

Every tour is private. We plan around your interests and choose our stops with the weather, traffic and time of day in mind.

You might spend longer on a walk, stop at a small cellar or make time for a relaxed lunch. There is room to change the plan along the way.

Meet Alec

A Cape Town local,
with a photographer’s eye.

Alec has lived in Cape Town all his life and spent years in photographic production, which taught him to notice light, timing and the small details most people walk past.

He brings that experience to his tours, choosing stops for the light and allowing time for photographs. Food, wine and the places he knows well are part of the day too.

Photography, food, wine and local knowledge.

Rooted in the Cape

Fynbos, along
the way.

Proteas and restios grow along many of the paths we walk. We take time to look at the fynbos rather than simply passing it by.

We leave room in the day to notice it. A short walk, a pause beside the road, a closer look at what grows here.
